hauntedmansionbackstage:

Not exactly backstage, but here’s a cool lights-on peek near the end of the Graveyard scene after a ride stop and evacuation at the WDW Mansion. Every time I ride the Mansion I wish for this to happen to me! Ride stops, eventually lights come on and a CM has to escort us out. Please! :)

I don’t know about you, but I always love backstage pics!

Reblogging because:
A) It’s an awesome costume;
B) I want to make sure people can find the original blog post from the (always) marvelous Epbot.com;
C) There’s a co-ordinated girl!Figment costume!

Just one more: Annette Funicello on the “Disneyland” series performing “Strummin’ Song” by the Sherman Bros.

It’s sad to hear that original Mouseketeer Annette Funicello passed away today at age 70 after a long (25 year!) struggle with MS. Let’s all pay tribute with my favorite - Sherman Bros. penned - Annette song, “Pineapple Princess.”

Attention Haunted Mansion fans: you absolutely must check out this review of a special Club 33 Haunted Mansion-themed dinner held in the portrait gallery of the Haunted Mansion. Yes, those are blown sugar spheres designed to look like Madam Leota’s crystal ball. They feature an image of Madam Leota screened on chocolate inside with spun sugar for hair!

Dapper Day at Disneyland

Whether it’s because of the excuse to dress up, to rebel against the everyday jeans and t-shirt ensemble or something more, thousands of people line up to attend Disneyland in elaborate fashion on Dapper Day.

So what is it like to walk around Disneyland during Dapper Day? Follow along with Times writer Rick Rojas:

Young men with knee-length basketball shorts hanging off their hips shuffled alongside dads in cargo shorts and socks pulled up to their shins. Moms, their hair pulled back in no-nonsense ponytails, trudged along in capri pants pushing strollers loaded down like the truck in “The Grapes of Wrath.”

Check out the full account of the pseudo-holiday here.
